Yes, I think that the national debt is so high that something drastic needs to be done. Although it would probably not be received well by most citizens, I think that the debt would go down eventually and they would accept it as a helpful choice. I feel that I could support a national sales tax if it would better the country in the long run.
Like Alivia said, our country's national is pretty high and it will take awhile and a lot of effort to lower it. I think a could support a national sales tax if it will help lower our national debt. Even if some citizens don't support a national sales tax, there are still many other ways to help lower the debt.
I would support it because doing nothing isnt going to do anything. I think people think it will go away on its own. some people may not like the tax, but it might help later
I don't think that I would support a national sales tax in the United States. I do support a sales tax on certain products that are used by many Americans. I think that the United States needs to cut back on their spending instead of a national sales tax because that is the real issue. I agree with meagan and alivia that the national debt is very high and will take a lot more then a national sales tax to get rid of. I agree with andrew that in the long run the national sales tax may help out in a small way but it will not drastically change the national debt in the US.
I feel that each nation should do what they need to to lower the debt, and then we can work on the debt problem. I agree with meagan and alivia in that it will take a lot of time to recover, but we must do our best to lower this detbt and we can start by defeating debts in seperate countries.
No, because my family is already struggling with our tax cuts, more taxes will leave thousands of people on the streets in addition to the already homeless. I think that the gov't should use their brains and think of a more economically sound way for everybody.
I beleive that since the national and inernational debt is so high, that a national sales tax should be put in place...if something is not done soon we will continue to spiral down into a debt that we could never even dream of paying off
No, I couldn't support this. Taxes could be changed on income to be more effective. It's not what we buy that is going to change things, it's how we use what we are already getting. No need to spontaneously bring up a extreme tax that the majority of Americans will be upset with, even if it could work.

ReplyDeletei dont support it because it isnt fair to us if they all allready making money off of the product.
ReplyDeleteI think we could, it would be better if we just help out with the tax pay a little higher, and lower the national debt.
