The first time i was ever away from home was when i was maybe 5. I stayed over my grandmothers house for the day and night and came back home the next morning
The first time i was away from home was when we to my great grandparents. I was only a couple weeks at this time. Looks like grandparents are a common first place to go away from home.
The first time i was away from home was when i went on a Cruise in the Mexican Gulf. I was about 9 when i was on the cruise and i spent 8 days there. Unfortunately, the Cruise wasnt so nice, because we got stuck between two hurricanes.
The first time I was away from home was when I was a baby and went on vacation with my family for a week. I hardly remember but that was the first time I was away from my home.
My first time I was away from home for a long time was when I was in kindergarden and my parents went on a cruise. I stayed with my grandma and grandpa. I remember I really missed my parents the whole time.
The first time I was away from home was when I went to my best friend's house to sleepover. I cried because I missed my mom sooo much (I was 5 years old). But my friend's mom made us cookies and I stopped crying.
I also spent a lot of time going to my grandparents when i was little, like Jess. Spending time away with my grandparents was probably my second time away from home. I would usually spend a whole weekend with them and come back Sunday night.
I have traveled alot in summer camps and spending nights in friends houses and even staying with family for a couple of days but from what I remember I think when i was about 5 I traveled far to virginia and had the funnest time. and like meagan I always spent time with my grandparents
The first time i ever went away from home was when i was only 7 when i started school back in russia. I had to stay at my uncles house for over a week, because my parents were on a trip.
The first time I was away from home was when I was around 7 years old, and I spent my first week at Camp Men-o-Lan. This was a week at a christan camp, and we all stayed in wooden cottages in the woods. It was so much fun, but when the week was over I was happy to be home.
The first time I was away from home was when I slept over my cousins house when I was about 5. Even though me and my cousin lived fairly close to each other I remember I still missed my mom so much and had to call her to make sure everything was okay. After I heard her voice I completely forgot about it and had a fun time.
The same thing happened to me Klara. I missed my mom soo much at first and wanted to leave. Then something else distracted me and I was fine for the rest of the night.
i probably had spent alot of time at my grandparents when i was younger, but i really only remember being away from home when my parents had gotten a divorce. My siblings and i had to travel to texas to be with our dad and he let us go to a summer camp.
