What does it mean to be an immigrant?

  7. I don't agree with that, some immigrants do speak english and once there let in united states they get legal rights like every one else. Even if there not from united states. They just can't stay unless they have citizenship or residents.

  10. An immigrant is sombody that was born in a different contry and start a new life there. In the united states, and immigrant must first take a test in order to gain citizenship.

  12. I believe that an immigrint is a person who was born in a country and decides to travel to start a new life in a different one. Usually when you are an immigrint you move to another country because of something you didn't like about your old country. Also usually when you migrate it is for a long time or perminantly.

    I agree with what Meagan said that in order to be a US citizen they must take a Citizenship test like we took in class the one day. I don't agree that if you are an immigrant you don't speak english, because a lot of immigrants can. Also I don't agree that immagrints can't have legal rights, because if they take the citizenship test and pass they can be a legal citizen and have most of the same rights that you and me have.
